What to Expect
Welcome to World Music Drumming! In this class, young drummers will explore rhythms from around the globe, learning to play a variety of percussion instruments from different cultures. Through hands-on experience, children will discover the rich history and traditions behind drumming in places like Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean, while building important skills such as coordination, listening, and teamwork.
In each session, students will have the opportunity to play drums, tambourines, and other percussion instruments as they learn to create dynamic rhythms and grooves. The instructor will guide children through interactive activities, including games, call-and-response exercises, and group drumming circles, ensuring every child feels confident and engaged. By the end of the course, children will not only have developed a sense of rhythm but also a deep appreciation for the diverse world of music! Whether they're beginners or have some drumming experience, this class offers a fun and inclusive environment where kids can express themselves through the universal language of music.
